Invaluable - I m currently on a business trip in Ulaanbaatar, whcih I have thoroughlky enjoyed BTW. I m glad I took this book with me as it has proved pretty invaluable since I got here. Recommended

Not bad. - I used this prior to my third trip to Mongolia,I m heading again this summer and it is certainlyvery much of use. There s scope for more detail in some areas though. Travelling toMongolia isn t easy to plan as information isn tas plentiful as elsewhere so this is a good start.Danny

The end of the world? .... maybe not - Last edited in 1997, I found the contents of the book slightly outdated when I went to Mongolia this summer - for example the train time schedules were not as accurate as I hoped it would be. Apart from that the book gives a good introduction to the history and culture of Mongolia, and it gives a good idea of what you should expect. One piece of advice though - if you re seriously considering travelling in Mongolia but don t speak Mongolian at all, the Mongolian Phrasebook is a must.
